About Us Why HomeNow?

A host of benefits when compared to traditional renting.

Security of a 5 year rent agreement

Security of a 5 year rent agreement

You will be safe in the knowledge that you will be in your home for at least 5 years, providing you with the security usually only associated with owning a home. This compares to the current average private rental period in a standard tenancy is only 19 months.

Treat the house as your home

Treat the house as your home

Paint it, have a pet (or two!), even sublet a room to your best friend. This is your home in all but name, we want you to treat it as such.

Share in the increase in value

Share in the increase in value

Make your rental money work for you. You will receive one third of the increase in value of your home.

Your Journey to Home Ownership

Case Study

1

You want to buy a £300,000 property and approach HomeNow, as you can’t afford the deposit.

2

HomeNow performs the necessary credit and affordability checks on you, you find a property and we check it meets our criteria.

3

HomeNow buys the property for £300,000 and pays the stamp duty, survey and legal fees and any other costs associated with the purchase of the property.

4

You move into the property, paying HomeNow a fixed rent, benefitting from security of tenure over the next 5 years.

5

After 5 years, you share in any increase in value. For example if the house value has risen by 30% to £390,000 over five years. You are entitled to £30,000 (by way of a rent refund) and you use this as a contribution towards your mortgage deposit to buy your home from us.

Advisory Board

Lord Bob Kerslake

On Sunday July 2nd the HomeNow team were informed of the sad news that our Advisory Board Chairman, The Right Honourable The Lord Kerslake FAcSS had passed away.

Lord Kerslake was never one for titles, he was Bob to everyone and Bob chaired our Advisory Board with limitless energy, patience and time.

We were introduced to Bob in the Summer of 2020 and asked him to join our Advisory Board. We had big visions of transforming renters into homeowners but very little credibility. 99% of people with his experience, knowledge and connections would probably not have even entertained a call with us. Bob instantly understood what we were trying to do and wanted us to succeed. Bob knew the property and housing world inside out, understood its inequalities and wanted to turn “resentful renters” into homeowners. On joining the Advisory Board he quickly moved onto chair and opened some incredible doors for us.

It is doubtful we would be where we are on the journey without Bob and we are going to miss his dedication, tenacity and deep insight. The HomeNow team sends its deepest condolences to Bob’s family and friends.
